The origins of these hand-made leather footwear link back to two regions i-e Charsadda and Peshawar.Since ages, the skilled Cordwainers from Charsadda have been involved in the making of the famous men chappal, locally known as “charsaddwalay saplay”.

It was through times, that variants evolved in terms of designs, and now we have various categories in terms of designs. The great marvel of “Peshawari and charsadda Chappal” has survived through hundreds of years because of its acceptability for evolution, change and adaptability.
